Who we are and what these terms cover
Smarter Dev is run by Smarter Dev LLC (“we”). These terms cover the Smarter Dev Discord server, its bot and our website, smarter.dev. By using any of them, you agree to these terms.
Eligibility
You must be 13 or older to use Smarter Dev, as Discord requires. When you use Smarter Dev on Discord, Discord’s own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines also apply.
Your account
Your account on our website is for one person. Keep your sign-in credentials safe. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- Post illegal content.
- Harass, threaten or abuse anyone.
- Spam.
- Abuse the bot or the AI assistant.
- Scrape our website, the server or the bot.
- Try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to any part of Smarter Dev.
- Circumvent moderation, including by using another account after a suspension or removal.
Content you post
You own the content you post. You give us a licence to host, store and display it to run Smarter Dev. You must have the rights to everything you post.
The AI assistant
The AI assistant can be wrong. Nothing it says is professional advice, including legal, medical, financial or security advice. Do not rely on it for anything where an error would hurt you.
Paid subscriptions
Paid subscriptions are billed through our payment provider, under its own terms. You can cancel at any time. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund partial periods, except where the law requires it.
Moderation and termination
We may remove content, and suspend or remove accounts and server members, that break these terms or Discord’s rules, at our discretion. You may leave the server or delete your account at any time.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Smarter Dev is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Privacy
How we handle your data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Changes
We post changes to these terms on this page and update the date below. If you keep using Smarter Dev after a change, you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States.
